Red Car Field Trips

Imagine sitting in a replica turn-of-the-century Pacific Electric Red Car Trolley as you take in the scenes of the picturesque San Pedro Waterfront through the windows. Enjoy this historical and educational experience with our enthusiastic and dedicated Red Car Conductors dressed in period clothing. Hear about the early origins of San Pedro Bay and the changes and progress that have made it into the busiest seaport in the Western Hemisphere.

The Red Car route currently stretches 1.5 miles along Harbor Boulevard with terminals at Swinford Street, 6th Street, Ports O' Call Village and Miner Street.

On Mondays and Fridays, Red Cars leave from Swinford Street every 20 minutes, beginning at 10 a.m. Another Red Car leaves from Miner Street every 20 minutes, beginning at 10 a.m. All Red Cars run until 5:30 p.m.
